====== Tasks in preparation for start of a new Term/Semester. ====== A larger annual list of tasks can be found [[schedule|here.]] * Deploy new TA computers. * Make TA accounts if at all possible. * Make Mailing lists * Freshen CS/IMGD/RBE Majors/Minors lists and mail-aliases. * In A-term, ensure all class-years are represented by the various majors mailing lists. * Also ensure that you're not emailing old departed class-years that are now gone. * update TA group mailing list (usually not in summer) * update SA group mailing list (usually not in summer) * Update Grad/Ugrad course mailing lists. * make sure CCC knows about the class mailing lists (-ta, -sa, -all, -staff for each list). These must be registered using a script in ~mvoorhis/recipients; **this task should be automated.** * Populate class-specific TA and SA mailing lists. * Do we know which faculty are teaching all the courses? Look for "unknown-faculty" in the class aliases. * TA ID numbers--sometimes tough as we may not know who they are; they may not be registered... * keycard lock lists. * Office Hours area (TAs and SAa) * WICS (will be housed in ACM area in the future?) * Others? * Make class web areas (for faculty that want them), i.e., ~cs1234/public_html/a09. * Make CCC Unix groups if needed * CCC /cs/cs[12345]* dirs created for faculty that want them * CLI Turnin class lists set for faculty that want them * Bullpen is ready (no more) ?
