- Rewiring network switches in machine room (i.e., load balancing)
- Label network and power cabling in Rack Cabinets
- updating the Rack Cabinet description files
- patch updates on Linux machines (automate it!)
- portupgrades on FreeBSD machines
- OS updates on older versions of FreeBSD
- Think about machine updates and future IT Capital purchases
- Walk the dept asking if everyone's happy (guaranteed to give you new tasks)
- Order supplies (more HDDs etc)
- Dabble with new OS or learn a new ability (VMs, migration, Kerberos, LDAP, SASL, ANSIBLE, new Linux distro, &c)
